Twelve-Step is the ideal working guide for adults who seek healing from the brokenness of damaged emotions. Through the use of biblical principles, Twelve-Step wisdom, and the power of self-disclosure, the Twelve-Steps become a road map on the journey toward lasting change and healing. The path toward wholeness is one of surrender and proper dependence upon God, rather than a false trust in self.
Step 1 - Admit we are powerless over the effects of our separation from God.
Step 2 - Come to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
Step 3 - Make a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understand Him.
Step 4 - Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Step 5 - Admit to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
Step 6 - Be entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
Step 7 - Humbly ask Him to remove our shortcomings.
Step 8 - Make a list of all persons we have harmed and become willing to make amends to them all.
Step 9 - Make direct amends to such people wherever possible , except when to do so would injure them or others.
Step 10 - Continue to take personal inventory and, when we are wrong, promptly admit it.
Step 11 - Seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God.
Step 12 - Carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs. - Adult Bible Study 7:00 pm - 8:15 pmLocation: New Beginnings Church

Join us weekly as we take an in-depth look at the book of ACTS. We’ll study, explore, and examine how God used ordinary men and women commissioned by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit, to begin a unprecedented movement, called the “church,” to radically change the world.
In studying the Scripture, our hope is that we’ll discover how we too have been called and sent by God to embark on this exciting, daring journey — empowered by the Holy Spirit — to carry out the mission of Jesus by proclaiming and living out the Gospel in our communities, our city, and to the very ends of the earth. - The Quest For Authentic Manhood Part 2 (Lessons 13-24) 6:00 pm - 8:00 pmLocation: New Beginnings ChurchDetails: January 10 - April 3, 2012January 10 - April 3, 2012

You don’t have to go through it alone.
Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before.
DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each DivorceCare session has two distinct elements:
A Seminar with Experts
During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting, each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.
A Support Group with Focus
After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members. - Griefshare 6:30 pm - 8:30 pmLocation: New Beginnings ChurchDetails: January 10 - April 3, 2012January 10 - April 3, 2012

How Grief Share Works
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Each GriefShare session has three distinct elements:
Video Seminar With Experts
Each week your GriefShare group will watch a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies, dramatic reenactments and on-location video.
Support Group Discussion with Focus
After viewing the video, you and the other group members will spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in your lives
Workbook-Based Personal Study and Reflection
During the week you will have the opportunity to use your workbook for further personal study of the grieving process and to help sort out your emotions through journaling. Your group will spend time discussing questions and comments from the workbook study. - Lies Women Believe (Women's Bible Study) 6:30 pm - 8:30 pmLocation: New Beginnings ChurchDetails: January 10 - April 3, 2012January 10 - April 3, 2012

This study addresses the whole concept of spiritual deception and exposes some common lies that many Christian women believe. Some of the lies are obviously untrue but have been unconsciously accepted. Other lies are more subtle or are half-truths, making them more difficult to identify. When we believe lies, whether overt or subtle, we ultimately end up in various types of bondage.
We are like Eve. We have all experienced defeats and failures, trouble and turmoil. We have all experienced a selfish heart, a shrewish spirit, anger, envy and bitterness. And we ache to do things over, to have lives of harmony and peace. I believe that with all her heart Eve wished she could have taken back the instant just before she bit into the forbidden fruit.
In this 13 weeks we will do more than identify the Deceiver and his lies. We are learning how to embrace the Truth. Believing and acting on the Truth is our means to freedom, not just survival, not escape, but true, glorious freedom.
We are covering areas of deception most commonly believed:
*Lies about themselves
*Lies about sin
*Lies about marriage
*Lies about their emotions
*Lies about their circumstances
*Lies about priorities
We are learning to counter the lies with God’s Truth. Living according to Truth requires a conscious choice to reject deception and to embrace the Truth. Psalm 119:29-30 says, “Keep me from deceitful ways…I have chosen the way of truth.”
Women in the group are identifying lies such as:
Learning to say no to unimportant things.
We pass on seeds of rebellion to our children.
I am learning to submit to the Lord and my husband.
We suffer consequences from our bad choices.
It is not my responsibility to change my husband.
I do not need a husband to be happy, Jesus is my husband.

The Quest for Authentic Manhood is the foundational level or ground floor of manhood. This 24-session study focuses on a man's core identity and gives an overview of basic manhood issues. It will help men deal with various identity issues by looking back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical masculinity. Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the questions, "What is a man?" and "What am I living to be?"
This captivating journey helps men:
• Resolve wounds from their past
• Embrace a biblical definition of manhood
• Develop their own personal manhood plan

Leading is a challenge. Leading in the 21st century is very challenging. Leading in a volunteer organization such as the church is the most challenging of all.
God has used ISL to transform people and congregations as they catch the fire of Christ to step up and out in obedient leadership. How? ISL offers an effective blend of curriculum that informs and challenges and the synergy of learning with others. The result: Christians who are equipped to be leaders in the local church.
