Our History & Vision
After a successful ministry of 20 years led by Pastor Mansfield, Southside Church of God was eagerly seeking to relocate to accommodate continued growth. At the same time a struggling sister congregation was faced with the decision to close its doors or bless another congregation with its facilities.
Early in 2004 Southside Church of God was approached with the idea of assuming the struggling congregation’s property. After much prayer and God’s leading, it was determined the two congregations should merge and plant a new church called “New Beginnings”.
New Beginnings held its first services on Mother’s Day 2004 with an approximate attendance of 235. Since that time God has continued to bless New Beginnings with numerical and spiritual growth. Today the congregation averages 700 in three weekend services.
